Here we’ll list Red Dead Redemption 2 Online cheat codes and unlockables with tips for Rockstar Games’s new Western action-adventure online game. Here we will show you how to unlock all Red Dead Redemption 2 Online codes with a cheats list that’s valid for the PS4 & Xbox One versions (where available). To enter all cheat codes in Red Dead Redemption 2, you need to pause the game, go to the settings and once there, press Triangle (PS4) or Y (Xbox One). That will take you to the Cheats menu.

Red Dead Redemption 2 has so many awesome elements to it but there’s one aspect that’s quite underrated: it pays to buy the newspapers. Within each newspaper is a hidden message that changes the game in some sort of useful way. Don’t worry, we’re going to tell you what the phrases are and what they do. Please note that these won’t work unless you have the newspaper in your inventory and this is for the main game only, not online. Here are some Red Dead Redemption 2 newspaper cheat codes for you to work your way through!

How To Enter Cheat Codes

Go to the options menu and press triangle on PS4 or Y on Xbox One, this will take you to the Cheat menu. Once you’ve entered the code, there will be an on/off toggle. Go ahead and switch that over to ‘On’ and you’re good to go!

Code 1 – ‘Abundance Is The Dullest Desire’

During Chapter 1 you can buy New Hanover Gazette No. 27 from the Newspaper seller in Valentine and once you’ve entered the cheat phrase you’ll get infinite ammo. Neat, right?

Code 2 – ‘Greed Is American Virtue’

As you progress through the story and the world map opens up, you’ll find there are three newspaper types; The Hanover Gazette, Saint Denis Times and Blackwater Ledger. Each of these can be bought in different locations but they’ll contain the same articles.

After the Chapter 3 mission, ‘Advertising, the new American Art’, pick up any of the above for the code. This is the ‘Heavy Weapons’ loadout and it will give you the Pump-Action Shotgun, Bolt Action Rifle, Mauser Pistol, and a Semi-Automatic Pistol.

Code 3 – ‘You Long For Sight And See Nothing’

After completing the Chapter 3 mission ‘Blood feuds, Ancient and Modern’ pick up the newspaper that’s available there, this code will reveal the entire map!

Code 4 – ‘Virtue Unearned Is Not Virtue’

Following Chapter 4, ‘Urban Pleasures’, you’ll be able to buy the next newspaper. This one will raise your honour level.

Code 5 – ‘The Lucky Be Strong Evermore’

The next newspaper will be available after you’ve completed Chapter 5 and it will give you unlimited Stamina!

Code 6 – ‘You Seek More Than The World Offers’

This newspaper is available for purchase after ‘The King’s Son’ mission is completed in Chapter 6. Entering the code will refill and fortify your Health, Stamina and Dead eye.

Code 7 and 8 – ‘You Are A Beast Built For War’ and ‘Would You Be Happier As A Clown?’

To get the last 2 codes, you’ll need to wait until after the Epilogue. Purchase a newspaper and enter the two relevant phrases. ‘You Are A Beast Built For War’ will create a War Horse for you to use and ‘Would You Be Happier As A Clown?’ spawns a circus wagon.

Pause the game and press Y to display the 'Cheats List', then press Y again to enter cheat codes. Note: Some cheats require you to meet certain in-game requirements before using them. Enabling codes prevents achievements from being earned.

• Easy 'Locked And Loaded' Achievement

Go to any gunsmith (marked on map in towns), like the one in Valentine. Speak to the gunsmith. Select any weapon and choose the 'Components' option. Change every component to get the 'Locked And Loaded' trophy. For example, the basic Double-Action Revolver has the following four components: Grip, Barrel Length, Barrel Rifling, and Iron Sights. It costs a few dollars to change these, but you can create a manual save before doing this and reload it afterwards to get your money back. | Submitted by Neto

• Infinite money

To get an unlimited number of gold bars, simply complete the following steps.
1. Create a manual save (Pause Menu, Story, Save Game) so you can return to a save file without the exploit, if desired. Also, disable autosaves to make this easier (Pause Menu, Settings, General, Autosave Off).
2. Go to 'Limpany' a burned-down village just slightly northwest of Flatneck Station.
3. Open the lockbox inside the burned-down Sheriff building, but do not loot anything from it. There must be a gold bar and letter inside. If you do not see the letter, it is because you already bought the 'Special Horse Stimulant Pamphlet' from a Fence, and this exploit will not work.
4. Look at the gold so it shows the words 'Gold Bar' in bottom right corner. It is easier in first-person view. While looking at the gold bar, save the game, exit the game through the menu, then select 'Resume Story' at the title screen (Pause Menu - Story - Save Game - Click Back - Story - Exit - Title Screen - Story).

5. You will spawn somewhere nearby. Return to the box, and the letter should be gone. There will now be unlimited gold bars in the box. Collect as many as you can carry (30 maximum, each is worth $500 = $15,000 total).
6. Sell the 30 gold bars at a Fence for $15,000. For example, at Emerald Ranch (nearest one).
Repeat steps 3-6 as many times as desired to get an unlimited amount of money. $15,000 is enough to last a full playthrough though. After completing the story, you get an additional $20,000, which is more money than you will ever need. So doing this once should suffice. If you wish to repeat the process, make sure you close and reopen the lockbox to make the letter respawn. Then, aim at the gold bar again, save the game manually, quit out to title screen, continue, ride back to lockbox, and pick up 30 gold bars again. Note: This glitch was performed on an unpatched version of the game. It will probably eventually get patched. To avoid not being able to use this exploit, either do not install new patches before using this exploit or delete the patches. You can avoid patches being installed by disconnecting from the internet until you are ready for the game to install new patches.
